Emergency Vehicle Priority System
Emergency vehicle priority system is the solution to control the traffic and
helps the emergency vehicle to reach at their destination on time. This
system completely relies on automatic traffic intelligent controller to
reduce the latency of emergency vehicles with minimum disruption to regular
traffic on the roads
Emergency Vehicle Priority System is designed to provide priority for
emergency services vehicles at traffic signal intersection. The system is
activated by an approaching emergency vehicle sending a processed location
information to the centralized server this server maintains a database of
each traffic signals information and GPS coordinates are stored. Server in
turns sends the received data to the particular traffic signal controller
where the emergency vehicle is approaching. When the traffic
signalcontroller receives a priority request it activates green for the
phase in which way the emergency vehicle is approaching
Emergency Vehicle priority systems will provide priority for emergency
services vehicles at traffic signals. The system is activated by an

a Centralized server at the Control room which maintains traffic information
database. The traffic information database has information about each and
every traffic signal along with its location coordinates and its timing
patterns. Also a priority table is made available that decides on multiple
emergency requests at a particular junction. The centralized server in turn
processes the received data and sends it to the particular traffic signal
controller where the emergency vehicle is approaching. When the traffic
signal controller receives a priority request it activates green for the
phase in which way the emergency vehicle is approaching. This process is
taken care for all the emergency vehicles plying in and around the city and
a detailed log is tabulated at the centralized server in Control Room
